This type of attachment is a metal hanger that attaches to the front and back of the gutter and is then secured to the fascia board with a screw driven through it. We like this system a lot because it uses screws, not spikes, to hold the gutter on the house.
Over time screws hold better than spikes. Unlike the spike and ferrule method of attachment nail heads are not visible on the front of the gutter, giving a smooth finished look. This is our preferred method of attachment, and we will use hidden hangers on your job if we can.
